Development of Cornerstone Public Policies and Institutional Capacities to accelerate Sustainable Energy for All

In 2019, the SE4All Project will develop the regulatory framework for mini-grids application and village energisation schemes. It will facilitate submission of the SE4All Country Action Agenda and Investment Prospectus to the Cabinet for approval for on-wards publication to attract investors. In partnership with UNCDF, the Project will identify private developers, through a competitive bidding process, for the establishment of renewable energy mini-grids and energy centres to provide clean and affordable energy services to rural communities. The UNCDF will further build the capacity of the relevant public and private institutions to manage and disburse grants to private developers participating in the project.
