Ms. Betty Pamela Wabunoha - UNDP Resident Representative
Ms. Betty Pamela Wabunoha is the UNDP Resident Representative in Lesotho. Prior to this appointment, Betty was Deputy Country Director (Operations) in UNDP Nigeria since August 2015. She also served in the same role in Angola, from 2011 to 2015 and in Tanzania from 2007 to 2011. Prior to joining UNDP, Betty worked briefly with UN Habitat in Nairobi, Kenya, consulted for the Government of Uganda under a World Bank funded project and served in the private sector and in Uganda's Tax Authority. Betty has served as UNDP national staff in her country.
Betty holds a Master’s degree in Business Management from Heriot Watt University of Scotland. She also holds Bachelor’s degree from Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda and is a Fellow of Certified Chartered Accountants of Glasgow, UK.
Ms. Christy Ahenkora - UNDP Deputy Resident Representative
Ms. Christy Ahenkora is the UNDP Deputy Representative in Lesotho, with responsibility for both programmes and operations. Prior to joining Lesotho in September, 2015, she served as the Head of Programmes in UNDP Ghana, where she started her career with the United Nations in November, 2000 as a National Programme Officer.
Prior to joining UNDP, Christy worked in the civil service of Ghana and on various World Bank and UNDP funded programmes in the areas of Decentralisation, Local Economic Development and Poverty Reduction.
Christy is a Development Economist with expertise in Development Planning and Management; Programme/Project Planning and Management; Private Sector Development, Decentralisation and Local Economic Development.
She holds a Master of Science degree in Survey Integration for Resources Development, with specialisation in Programme Planning and Management and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Development Planning.
