AWARDING OF CERTIFICATES TO RBM TRAINEES – 22ND FEBRUARY 2018

The Ministry of Development Planning, with support from the (EU)/UNDP (European Union/United Nations Development Programme) - funded Lesotho Data for Sustainable Development Project, will host a half day event of awarding certificates to the trainees of a 5 - day workshop held in October 2017, at Mohale Lodge. The training was on Results-Based Management (RBM), and targeted Monitoring and Evaluation Officers, Economic Planners and Academia. The occasion will also provide an opportunity to reflect on the training and share how the skills acquired are being utilized as well as discuss the national structures for Monitoring & Evaluation and Statistics. The event will be held at Avani Maseru on the 22nd February 2018, from 08:30 to 13:00.

The RBM training was aimed at building appreciation of RBM as a planning and management tool. Further, the training was expected to facilitate development of an effective and efficient National Monitoring and Evaluation System to strengthen national planning and budgeting.

The Lesotho Data for Sustainable Development Project was launched in February 2017 and is being implemented by the Ministry of Development Planning through the Department of Monitoring and Evaluation and the Bureau of Statistics. The project aims at assisting the Government of Lesotho in the collation, analysis and dissemination of development data and building capacities for evidence based planning, reporting, monitoring and evaluation.
